So what is Simple DST Multimedia?.....

For example.....

You can design literally thousands of scenarios based on the National Curriculum, for example if teaching History, you could recreate life in 1800s London with the sight of a bustling market, the shouts of the grocer selling his produce and the smell of decay, next you could be crossing the Masai Mara with the Wildebeest teaching Geography.

If you’re teaching Maths, then shapes and numbers can be projected on to a wall whilst pupils match the shapes using a DST Scanner or pick which number makes 5 when added to the 3 projected onto a wall.

If you’re talking about the sea, why just talk when you can actually be there and experience the excitement of swimming with dolphins in Florida or the life of a trawler man. The sea is calm and the trawler man is gathering his nets, seagulls are circling overhead and the wind is in your hair. The smell of the sea is strong but you don’t mind as you watch the horizon gently sway - ideal for relaxation as well as interaction!

This scenario would take less than 3 minutes to prepare! and all scenarios can be saved and used at a later date, then edited at any time. They can even be emailed allowing you to swap ideas and scenarios.

Need interaction? No problem!.....

The whole system can be controlled by your pupils/clients favourite switch. Imagine if they press their switch and instead of a bubble tube changing colour their favourite pop star appears and starts singing a song - an ideal way to encourage vocalisation or Mum and Dad appear asking them to do a specific task or a school excursion could be replayed using the DST Video Projector.

DST is not dependant on the computer.....

Each 'real world' DST product that the software interacts with is a learning tool in its own right (see 'DST Explained' link above). They can be computer controlled but are NOT computer dependent which is a huge difference to any 'similar' systems available. If you don’t want to use the computer or Simple DST Multimedia software one day, you can simply use the DST equipment as you would any other equipment, but of course you still benefit from the huge advantages the DST system has to offer.
